Professor Dai Smith started a UK tour promoting his biography of Raymond Williams: A Warrior's Tale on Thursday 1 May. Following a lunchtime signing in Watersone's, Cardiff the official Welsh launch took place that evening with an "in-conversation session" and reception hosted by the Open University in Wales and in association with University of Wales, Swansea.

Pictured above are Dai Smith with Rhodri Glyn Thomas, Minister for Heritage and Rob Humphreys, Directer of the OU in Wales.

Dai is pictured below on the first leg of his Spring tour which will take him to Birbeck College in London on Saturday 10 May and to the Guardian Hay Festival on Monday 26 May, On both occassions he will be introduced By Eric Hobsbawm.

A week earlier, at the London Book Fair, Publisher Richard Davies is shown below presenting a copy of the biography to John Callow of the Marx Memorial Library.
